Both Iron Man 3 Super Bowl Spots Hit

iron_man_three_ver2feature Iron Man 3 was one of the few movies that went all out for the Super Bowl. The upcoming movie that kicks off Marvel’s Phase 2 got not one, but two trailers going during the big game. A 30 second spot costs several million dollars, but Tony Stark didn’t get a measly 30 seconds he got 150 seconds by using the 30 second trailer to get people to go to the Iron Man Facebook for a 90 second extended look. The film rolled out the 30 spot and then threw an expanded 90 second spot online. The shorter of the trailers showed off an aerial rescue scene that we had seen being filmed early last summer in North Carolina. The longer spot shows off a little more footage giving us a better glimpse at all the action.  The Shane Black directed threequel hits theaters May 3, 2013.
