BATMAN VS SUPERMAN Goes To A Museum & AGE OF ULTRON Headed To Bard Fortess For Filming
A while back we learned that Joss Whedon would be taking the Avengers on a more global adventure. We already know that some filming would be taking place in South Africa, but whether or not this would involve Wakanda is still unknown. For a while now, it’s also been rumored that some filming would take place in South Korea as well, despite Mark Ruffalo saying there were no plans for, but stated the “Marvel Universe is big”. We can confirm, via KDramaStars, that 10 to 15 minutes of the movie will use the Asian country as a backdrop.
Today, a new location has been revealed for highly anticipated sequel in Northern Italy at the amazingly beautiful Bard Fortress. According to BadTaste.it, shooting is expected to take place in March and will utilize several surrounding locations, such as Aosta, Donnas, Point-St-Martin and Verres, all of which were chosen by the film’s director, Joss Whedon. Roughly 2000 film crew members and extras will be pulled from the surrounding areas, which will certainly help the local community.
As you can see from the images, the fort is truly an incredible place. I look forward to seeing how the location is used in the film. Speaking of incredible, it was also announced today that the recently delayed Batman Vs. Superman will be doing some filming at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in Michigan. The building is very futuristic, almost alien-looking. Zack Snyder, who is helming the sequel, was seen scouting out the location for the film. This news comes from HenryCavillOnline. No word on how the unique building will be used in the film, but let the speculation begin.
It’s a shame these two films couldn’t go head-to-head at the box office, but knowing what we do about both films, I’m very excited to see how it all comes together. Avengers: Age of Ultron sees Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner all reprise their roles. James Spader, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Thomas Kretschmann have joined the cast as well.
The yet-to-be-officially-titled Man of Steel sequel has had a slew of rumored character inclusions, so we don’t know exactly who will be involved outside of Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. The Flash, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, Aquaman, Darkseid and Cyborg have all been rumored. Dwayne Johnson is in talks to join a DC/WB film, while Jason Momoa has been long rumored for Aquaman and Joaquin Phoenix for Lex Luthor. Naturally, keep checking back for more news on that front.
