With the success of Superman: Earth One by J. Michael Straczynski, many were begging for an Earth One interpretation of Batman. This year, DC delivered with Batman: Earth One. The book graphic novel by DC Chief Creative Office Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank was well received after its release. The book retold the origins of the Caped Crusader with an entirely different take on Alfred. It should come as no surprise that the novel will get a sequel.
Johns and Franks will be reuniting for a second volume about the adventures of the early years of Batman on Earth one. The duo took to Twitter to tease the next volume, finally revealing that they were “cooking up a great chapter 2.” No word on exactly when, but the book will be released in 2013. What do you think Bat fans? Are you wanting a second volume?
@1moregaryfrank @geoffjohns …until next year!!!
