Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Cancelled
By Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell on Jun 06, 2012 with Comments 1
The rumors we had been hearing about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, unfortunately, turned out to be true. It’s being reported today that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is being cancelled so it can be replaced by another version of an Avengers cartoon.
Marveltvnews.com is reporting that the cancellation has been confirmed by Marvel’s latest official Press.
The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” won’t be renewed for the 3rd Season. Marvel Animation will present their newly developed series “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” in 2013.
Along with the announcement came the promo picture for the new show as seen at the top of the story. The new show is still rumored to be on Cartoon Network and not DisneyXD, which seems very odd considering Disney’s relationship with Marvel. Jeph Loeb has been on record saying he wanted more standalone episodes, whereas EMH has been more about long story arcs.
This is devastating news. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes has been the greatest Marvel cartoon in many, many years. It is a fan favorite and has been doing well. On the other hand Ultimate Spider-Man, which isn’t doing well at all, is rumored to be behind the cancellation. A Marvel connected cartoon universe is supposedly being created between Spider-Man and Avengers with the new Avengers toon coming in 2013. I personally hate the decision and below is how I reacted.

It took this long for me to comment…I just needed some time. I believe this is a horrible mistake. Loeb needs to be fired. That is all.
