Anthony Mackie In Talks To Team With Captain America In Sequel

Marvel had some big announcements at Comic Con, but that wasn’t the end of it. It was revealed that Captain America’s sequel would be subtitled The Winter Soldier, based on the Ed Brubaker story. We can guess that Bucky is coming back, and now we have a hint that a new addition could be coming- Falcon.

The Hollywood Reporter has found out that Anthony Mackie is in negotiations to star alongside Evans in the sequel directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film comes out April 4, 2014.

The Falcon was a Harlem-based hero named Sam Wilson. Falcon and Captain America are a well-known duo, and the addition of Mackie makes for some exciting news. Falcon gets his powers from a suit that allows him to fly, it also enhances his strength. He is able to telepathically talk to birds as well. In recent comics, Falcon has been a big part of Cap’s current stories.

What do you think about the addition of Mackie? Seems like Marvel will be introducing a lot of characters in their upcoming film. Are you glad to see Falcon finally making it to the big screen?
