Ant-Man Gets A New Release Date

by

ant-man1News has been pretty quiet on the Ant-Man front lately. We have gotten a few nuggets; such as Pym not being the one to create Ultron, along with a casting rumor here or there. However, news has been pretty stagnant.

Disney set the release date for November of 2015, looking to give the lesser known Ant-Man some breathing room from the big Summer blockbusters that are chalked full in the year. That was until today, as Disney has announced that it is putting the film right smack dab in the middle of the summer blockbuster hunt, by changing the release date to July 31 of 2015.

It would appear that Disney is looking to avoid going up against the newest Bond film by changing the release day. However, it also looks like it’s a power move against Warner Brothers and DC by telling them they aren’t scared of their Superman and Batman team up film. That film is scheduled to hit on July 17th of 2015 a mere two weeks before Ant-Man will hit. Whatever the case may be for the move, fans have one more Summer movie to look forward to now.
