Another Agent has reported for duty for the highly anticipated S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot for ABC. A relatively fresh face by the name of Brett Dalton has signed on according to TV Line. Dalton will join Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the previously announced Ming-Na for the newest Joss Whedon show.
Dalton’s previous credits include guest starring on Army Wives and Blue Bloods. He can also be seen in the upcoming National Geographic telepic Killing Lincoln. Dalton will play Agent Grant in the pilot. Agent Grant is described as one of of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s highly-skilled rising stars who is “deadly, precise, and cool under fire- but not so great with the people skills.”
Whedon is said to be directing the pilot and co-wrote the script with his brother Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen. If it is picked up by ABC, the three will serve as executive producers alongside Marvel Television’s Jeph Loeb.
