AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD Season 4 Returns!
Thanks to the fine folks at AMC, I was able to watch the first two episodes of season 4, and I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
The first episode “30 Days Without An Incident ” it’s directed by Greg Nicotero, and that should tell you enough info about what you are going to witness. As you may well know, Nicotero is the special effects guru in the tv show and we know how he loves his job.
New show runner Scott Gimple wrote the episode, and you can tell there’s going to be a different atmosphere in the series.
Obviously Rick and his group of survivors has taken new people as it was shown in the last season finale, and this opens the room for new characters and new stories.
Daryl has taken more of a leadership role in this season and we will notice that in the first episode. I would like to mention that Daryl Dixon fans will definitely be pleased to see that as Rick’ right hand man, we will see more of him as he faces more tough choices.
Carl will play an important role in this season just like Andrew Lincoln mentioned in an exclusive interview with Daily Dead: “I think this is going to be the breakout season for him. Chandler is doing some wonderful work. I don’t’ want to give too much away, but there’s an episode where he’s going to blow everyone’s minds and it was a thrill to see him. For me, this season is really about a boy becoming a man and the father accepting that.” Click HERE for the rest of the interview.
We have heard about a new threat that will make life very “difficult” for our favorite group of survivors. This is a new element that they are incorporating in the story and will play very well in the show. Obviously I am not going to spoil it for you.
So if you are worried about action and gore, you won’t be disappointed because there’s plenty of it in these 2 episodes.
Scott Gimple is a fan of the comics and he has stated that he reads the comic books, so we will definitely see some nods to the books.
Of course this won’t be a Walking Dead TV show without some very sad and depressing moments, so expect to see that and brace yourselves for a thrilling ride!
