THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Is Bringing Some New Footage To Times Square On New Year’s Eve
Spider-Man will be swinging by Times Square on New Year’s Eve to help kick the festivities up a notch. It was revealed this weekend by the New York Daily News that one of Marvel‘s most famous New Yorkers would be taking part in the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times square before the big ball drops. Before we ring in 2014 though, Spidey and his friends will be debuting some brand new footage from the upcoming Marc Webb directed sequel. The clip will be broadcast on the humongous Times Square video screens. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Jamie Foxx will all be above the marquee looking out over the NYC landscape. This is all made possible in part because the first film was such a boon for New York City, filming entirely in the Big Apple. Webb said of the city:
There’s the sense of energy and excitement that you can only get in New York and we certainly felt that energy and excitement as we shot the entire film here. The people of New York City truly embraced our production, and it’s a wonderful feeling to be returning to Times Square to ring in the New Year.
No time frame was giving for Spider-Man‘s part of the celebrations, but we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on what happened and what footage was shown on the big day. What do you think about ol’ web-head showing off some new footage on the biggest stage in the world before 2013 comes to an end?
