Alan Taylor Talks Thor/Game Of Thrones Comparisons And The Russo Brothers Talk Caps Steal Suit

by

marvel bannerToday has become Marvel day. Several clips have leaked out from Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If the Age of Ultron teaser leaked, we’d have the full set. But in more legitimate news, the directors of Marvel‘s next two films to be released have talked a little more about their directorial efforts. Thor‘s Alan Taylor talks about the similarities and differences between the film and Game of Thrones. Joe and Anthony Russo talk at-length about The Winter Soldier and one particular suit we’ll see Captain America in this time around.

IGN caught up with all three directors on the red carpet at the D23 Expo. You can watch both clips below to see what everyone had to say. There are a few things worth pointing out though. Taylor talks about being brought in for the film and how his work on Game of Thrones helped him land the gig. He said the only downside to directing The Dark World is that he had to miss out of the entire third season of Thrones. It sounded like he may have directed the Red Wedding episode if he was able to spare the time. He also says it looks like he’ll probably miss the entirety of season 4 as well. The Russo Brothers had a lot to say in this particular interview, but they talk a little bit about Cap‘s suits. They say the Stealth Suit will be “dark, stealth-like” to reflect the types of missions he goes on obviously, but they  go to to state that it will be a very “grounded version of what the uniform could be for a man that’s the greatest soldier in the world.” Joe Russo says that any other suits we see Cap wear will be a surprise.
