Alan Ritchson Joins The TMNT Reboot As Raphael
By Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell on Mar 22, 2013 with Comments 1
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot announced its first piece of casting when producer Michael Bay told the world that Megan Fox was going to be April O’Neil. TMNT fans across the world rejoiced at that piece of news…sorry, the sarcasm font kicked on there for a second. Today a new piece of casting has been announced. This time we find out Alan Ritchson will play Raphael.
Ritchson, formerly Smallville’s Aquaman, will play the red bandana wearing bad boy of the group. Deadline is reporting that the Jonathan Liebesman directed flick has started the casting process for the turtles, so we can expect to hear about the rest soon. The film plans to use motion capture, so Ritchson will both act and provide Raphael’s voice. That’s one down and three to go. The film is currently slated for a May 16,2014 release. What do you think about Ritchson playing Raphael?
