Alan Cumming Comments On Whether Or Not Nightcrawler Will Appear In Days Of Future Past

by

nightcrawler imageYesterday we posted the news that James McAvoy may have confirmed that Alan Cumming was coming back as Nightcrawler for Days of Future Past. The actor dropped Cumming’s name during an interview on a morning radio show. He rattled off the names of all the returning cast members, so many thought McAvoy knew something we didn’t. It turns out the actor just got confused.

In an interview with Sirius XM today, Alan Cumming debunked the rumors. The actor made it pretty clear he won’t be back:

No, they haven’t [asked me to return]. Someone asked me that the other day and I said no. I know the one that’s coming up shoots this Spring, but I wouldn’t be available anyways. I dont think they have. I was gonna meet my manager for dinner later, I was gonna ask him, but no, I’m sure they would’ve told me, had they approached.

You can hear it from the horses mouth at the 31:50 mark, audio again courtesy of X-MenFilms.Com. It sounds like he isn’t opposed to the idea, he just hasn’t been asked. Cumming says he’s pretty busy but hopefully he could spare the time for a quick cameo at the least. I’m going to hold out hope. Cumming and Kelsey “Beast” Grammer are the two mutants I’d like to see back the most. What do you think? He’s clearly not in, but should he be?
