Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Takes A Big Ratings Drop: Plus Video Of The Big Cameo
There’s always a drop between the pilot and second episode of a new TV show. When your pilot breaks all kinds of records and pulls in a huge crowd, it makes your second episode drop look pretty bad though. The ratings are in from last night and they show a 34% drop for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. According to The Wrap, the show had a 3.1 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, down from its debut last week of 4.7. The pilot was the highest for a drama in four years and was the biggest TV debut of the fall. The ratings are still strong, but the substantial drop has a few people scratching their heads.
Not even Nick Fury could protect against the dreaded drop. Last night’s episode had a big cameo, though it wasn’t much of a surprise if you check the show’s official media accounts. Video of Samuel Jackson‘s guest appearance as Fury has found its way online (via Movies.Com). If you want to relive the heated exchange between Director Fury and Agent Coulson over the damage to the “bus” during the teams latest mission. What did you think of last night’s episode? Does the big ratings drop surprise you?
