AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Recruits B.J. Britt In A Recurring Role
Back in December we heard that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be recruiting two new cast members to join up with Coulson‘s ragtag team of misfits. One was revealed as Bill Paxton‘s Agent Garrett, a rough-and-tumble man’s man who has ties to both Coulson and Ward. The other character the show was looking for was only described as “an African-American agent who specializes in combat/weapons.” Well the series have found their weapons and combat expert in actor B.J. Britt.
According to TV Line, Britt (Being Mary Jane, Vampires Suck, One Tree Hill) has been cast as Agent Triplett. The site didn’t have any details on Triplett other than he’s an associate of Bill Paxton‘s Agent Grant and we can expect to see both men very soon. In fact, Grant and Triplett will appear on the very next episode of S.H.I.E.L.D. when the show returns on March 4th after the Winter Olympics. This will be Britt‘s second appearance on a comic book show, but the first one that actually happens. Britt had a small part in 2011’s failed Wonder Woman pilot. Britt, along with Paxton, will be sticking around for a few episodes. What do you think about Britt coming aboard The Bus? Do you think Triplett is another loose adaptation of a different comic book character?
