AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Gets A Slight Schedule Change; AGENT CARTER Will Bridge The Split
ABC has just revealed their full fall schedule. The roll out reveals an interesting update when it comes to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s second season and the recently confirmed Agent Carter series starring Hayley Atwell. It appears that S.H.I.E.L.D. will undergo a slight schedule change and Agent Carter will be used to bridge the gap during the season break.
Marvel.Com announced that S.H.I.E.L.D. will be moving from 8PM on Tuesdays to 9PM this fall. The one hour change is a good sign of ABC‘s faith in the show, considering how 9PM is more of a coveted prime time spot. While there is no specific info on Agent Carter‘s premiere date, it has been announced that the series will occupy the same Tuesday at 9 slot when it airs between the fall finale of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the winter premiere of the show. While not confirmed, the series is said to be around 13 episodes. ABC‘s Paul Lee says the series is essentially “a S.H.I.E.L.D. origin story with a kick-ass lead in Hayley Atwell.” That seems to confirm that it will follow right along with the Agent Carter one-shot’s ending and show us how the super spy organization become the juggernaut we know from the movies. We’ll obviously be hearing a lot more about S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s second season and Peggy Carter‘s new adventure soon. What do you think about the scheduling news?
