AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Is Bringing In An IRON MAN Villain For Episode 12
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s mid-season finale left things on a huge cliffhanger, though not many people tuned in to see it, but the second half of the show’s first season will see things taking a slightly different approach. Though nobody involved with the show has specifically addressed the show hemorrhaging viewers, they have confirmed that they will introduce new character, more comic book based characters, and just generally make better use of the fact they are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of those things will happen in episode 12 when yet another familiar name makes an appearance.
Marvel released the synopsis for Seeds earlier today, and it has two interesting additions. Ian Quinn (David Conrad) will be returning after last being seen facing off against Skye in the episode that gave us Graviton, but Donnie Gill will also make an appearance. Gill, better known in to comic book fans as Blizzard, is an Iron Man villain who has a super suit that allows him to manipulate water and control the cold. Gill was a longtime criminal who was hired by Justin Hammer to work on various missions and interfere with Stark Industry‘s plans. It is very, very, very unlikely that either Robert Downey Jr. or Sam Rockwell will make an appearance, but we can expect their character’s names to be dropped. It’s also interesting to note that David Gill will be played by Dylan Minnette, who is 16 years old. So expect a vastly different take on the character. There is talk of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy in the synopsis, so it could be related to that. What do you think about the villainous connection?
