A Recent Tweet Gets The Black Panther Rumor Wagon Rolling Again
It has been a while since we’ve heard a good Black Panther rumor. Many actors have thrown their names in the hat over the past few years, but a recent Tweet from Morris Chestnut is a little more interesting than most of the other ones.
Bleeding Cool were the first ones to spot the Tweet from Chestnut, who will appear in Kick-Ass 2 and is probably best known for his role as Ryan Nichols in the “V” rebooted TV series. You can see what Chestnut said down below. The link goes to his Facebook page which says the same thing but has the comic cover shown off to the side. Marvel has been trying to get a Black Panther film going for a while now. Could Chestnut have met with Disney/Marvel about appearing in one of the Phase 2 movies to sow the seeds for a stand-alone Black Panther movie? We know Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige are very open to adding new members to the team for the second outing. This is all speculation and rumor for now, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility. If there is some fire to this smoke, do you think Chestnut would be a good Black Panther?
