A BLACK PANTHER Film Is ‘Absolutely In Development’

black pantherMany times in the past Marvel has said they were batting around ideas for a Black Panther film. On top of Marvel‘s teasers we’ve heard countless rumors about when the prince of Wakanda would be making his big screen debut. Fans have had their hopes up many times only to have them dashed when nothing materializes. While Black Panther fans remain cautiously optimistic, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is assuring fans that the film is “absolutely in development.

In a recent chat with BlackTree TV (via CBM’s MarvelFreshman), Feige was asked two questions: Will there be a Loki solo film and will we see Black Panther anytime soon? The Marvel head honcho reiterates what he’s previously said about Loki, but he gives fans reason to get excited while talking about Black Panther:

In terms of Black Panther, it’s absolutely in development. When you have something as rich as Wakanda and his backstory…clearly Vibranium has been introduced into the universe already. I don’t know when it will be exactly but we certainly have plans to bring him to life someday.

We’ve been hurt one too many times, but I think Feige is being honest. There have been rumors that Wakanda could feature in Avengers: Age of Ultron so hopefully we’ll hear something about T’Challa before long. What do you think about Feige‘s latest Black Panther comments? Do you hope the hero makes it into the Age of Ultron or at least Phase 3?
