A Better Look At Electro, Green Goblin, And The Rhinobot From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
During the Super Bowl The Amazing Spider-Man 2 aired the second part of their big teaser trailer and then released a nearly four-minute long sizzle reel showing off Jamie Foxx‘s Electro, a plethora of new footage, and a better indication of the film’s scope and tone. There were a few quick shots of the other two villains (that we know of) that will be appearing in the film alongside Electro as well. Some crystal clear shots of the sizzle reel give us a great look at the trinity of villains.
DCMarvelFreshman at CBM touched up a few images from the impressive sizzle reel. The first image just gives us a clearer look at Electro, but the other images offer up something we haven’t seen much of. There’s a shot of Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan most likely) in flight as he swoops in to attack Spider-Man. It’s all but officially confirmed that the Marc Webb sequel will skip over Norman and bestow the title of Goblin on Harry. There are also two shots of the big ol’ Rhinobot too. Paul Giamatti‘s face can be see in the chest area of the first one. The suit is a major departure from the main Marvel universe, but it does fit along somewhat with the Ultimate version. It’s definitely a gutsy take on the character. Paul Giamatti has said on many occasions that he “really hammed it up” for the role, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out. I’m not entirely sure what to think myself. What do you think about the clearer look at our three villains? The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will swing into theaters May 2.
It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
