31 in 31 V.2 Day 10
Hello hello again all! It’s time for another installment of this years 31 in 31! Today we’re going to talk about the recent film Woman in Black!
This film marks the return of the legendary horror company, Hammer Films. Hammer made some great horror flicks in the 1950s-1970s but kind of slowly died out. A great number of their films remain classic. Woman in Black is their first venture in quite some time. The movie stars Daniel Radcliff of Harry potter fame as Aurthur Kipps, a man who lost his wife while giving birth to their son. Four years later, Kipps is still grieving but it’s having a negative effect on his work as a lawyer. His boss sends him the the town of Cryphin Gifford in order to work on some legal documentation of an old house on the outskirts of that town. While there, Kipps stays in the now abandoned house that belonged to deceased woman. During his stay Kipps unfolds parts of the mystery of the town and of the ghost of the woman in black who is haunting the old marsh house.
